* Sheep's milk contains up to double the minerals and vitamins of cow's or goats milk, making it very good for your skin.
* Sheep's milk contains more good fats than cow's or goats milk, making it more moisturizing for your skin.
* Sheep's milk contains lactic acid (an alpha hydroxy acid) a natural, gentle, exfoliant that leaves skin glowing and soft.
* Our soap is made using 100% fresh sheep's milk, no water and definitely no powdered milk-some soap makers use powdered milk to make goats milk soap. We cram as much skin loving sheep's milk into our soaps as we possibly can.
* We believe sheep's milk soap is especially suited to sensitive skins, our Bastille unscented or our Bastille scented with essential oils are especially gentle.
* Have you ever bought a bar of soap from the supermarket and wondered what it contained? Our soap contains only pure vegetable oil (such as olive, avocado, cocoa butter and rice-bran) and because it is handmade in small batches it retains it's natural moisturizing glycerine content-which is taken out of commercial soap and used in other more expensive cosmetics, food's etc
* We do not use soap noodle mix (pre-made palm oil based soap mix, which is then melted, scent and oils added and repoured)
*Our soap is palm oil free-palm oil is environmentally damaging and palm tree plantations destroy valuable irreplaceable rainforest which is the habitat of Orangoutangs, which are now endangered. More rainforest is being cleared everyday to satisfy growing demand for palm oil, which is a cheap ingredient in many foods and cosmetics, it is usually listed as sodium palmate on soaps or just palm kernel oil or palm oil.
*We milk our own sheep, which means we now exactly how the animals who produce the milk for our products are treated and also that we are using the best quality milk available in our products-it hasn't been milked from an anonymous animal, processed, dried or shipped hundreds of kilometres to get to us. We have a personal relationship with all of our dairy ewes and they are treated like part of the family.
* You know that you'll be getting only the best because we take great care making our products for you, all our products are made by our family in our house, by hand in small batches-not by employees or a machine in a factory. If we haven't got exactly what you want we are happy to discuss custom orders.
* As our soap does not contain palm oil or animal fats (such as tallow or lard) it will not stay hard if left exposed to water-please put your soap in a well drained place after use to allow the soap to dry. A customer has recently told us she puts her soap on a dry towel or flannel to dry.
