Taking reservations for 09 lamb drop
Blackthorn dairy sheep stud is now taking orders for our 09 lamb drop (due to start arriving in June/July), some rare breed lambs and coloured lambs (black, black and white, brown and grey) will be available. Please reserve early for ewe lambs-very limited numbers are available. Balance of lambs (rams and ewes) will have dams milk records and pedigree available-very rare no other milk recorded stock is available in Australia. Breeds available are:
East Friesian-1-3 ewe lambs available ($100-200 depending on dam) 1-6 ram lambs available ($50-200 depending on dam)
Assaf (very rare breed of EF crossed with Awassi)- 1-3 ewe lambs available ($200-500 depending on dam) 1-10 ram lambs available ($200-600 depending on dam)
3rd and 4th cross Awassi (extremely rare in Australia)- 1 ewe lamb available($300) 1 4th x ram lamb, subject to availability ($600)
All wether lambs (any of above breeds) $25 or free with another lamb purchase
All lambs are available from 3 days old and on, all are of dairy linage, a $50 deposit is needed 2 weeks before the lamb(s) expected birth for the lamb to be held for you. Lambs will need to be bottle fed milk for at least a month and will need high quality calf pellets and chaff until at least 6 months old. Prices for weaned animals can be negotiated.
